YouTube Video Downloader

    Hi,

    What's the best program for downloading youtube videos to Windows PC ?

    Was using an old version of Freemake, and one of the kids(32 YO who knows everything, or at least she thinks so) decided to update to the latest version of Freemake which is full of malware and ****.

    So now have to find a new downloader that downloads in the default of mp4.

    If you are using the Firefox Browser the VideoDownload helper add-on does the job for me anytime.

    Once you install the add-on there will be an icon on firefox close to the home button with 3 spinning balls, once you choose a youtube vid, the balls will become active and start spinning, click on them and choose your download!!!

    DVDVideoSoft is a great piece of software. DLs YT videos and has loads of converters in one nice little package.

    Thanks to all for their input.

    Downloaded DVDVideoSoft, and noticed the download was about 34 MB.

    Before running the setup.exe I scanned it with my AV and all good.

    To stop the nasties(third party offers) from being installed, I turned off the internet connection and installed it offline There were no third party offers on install..

    Seems to have good array of options and I'm now downloading Youtube vids in 1080P and 720P mp4 to check how it performs.

    Wiil give some feedback soon.
