    Hi folks,

A group of us in Longford town set up the Cruthú Arts Festival in 2014, and for our second year we decided to expand our music line-up with a special concert in one of the local churches.

It's called 'Sonic Sunday' and it's happening on July 26th at St John's Church. It's a double headliner with performances from Nina Hynes & Fabien Leseure, and Owensie. The special guest act is Cronin. Doors open at 7pm.

Tickets are €17.50 (€12 for a side aisle seat) and are available from Tickets.ie and associated outlets nationwide. If you're in Longford, you can also pick them up from the local tourism office.

For anyone looking for live music elsewhere over the weekend, the Little Blue Room (at John Browne's pub on the Market Square) will host performances from Galician musician Susana Garrido Pombo & Kevin Herm Connolly on Friday night (July 24th), while on Saturday (July 25th) there will be an Americana/Bluegrass theme to proceedings, with sets from US-based singer-songwriter Vincent Cross and Bluegrass trio The New Breadwinners. Cover charge on both nights is €5.

More details on these performances here: http://cruthuartsfestival.com/programme/music/

And if trad is more your thing, the Longford Arms Hotel is playing host to 'The Longford Collection' on Friday night:

I'll shut up about it now... thanks for reading! :)
