hi all you might think i'm bonkers hehe but what i'm looking for is some kind of program that will automatically close everything and shut down the computer after say 60 mins

What operating system?



For windows
create textfile in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

In the textfile put

shutdown /r /t 3600

Rename the file to shutdown.bat (3600 = seconds , 60 secs * 60 mins )

why not make a deal with them! they can play the games if they also try

This is a list of free coding courses for kids, get them involved, they like playing video games imagine how they would feel if they could make their own!!!!!

have a talk with them see how it plays out, my point being they love doing something, embrace it and point them in the right direction to possibly in the future make a living from it.
