My aldi XS carnuba car wash wax was the business and I need a good replacement today since who knows when more is coming in. I seen simoniz carnuba car wash wax @6.99 for just a 1 litre bottle in halfords but what can anyone recommend that doesn't cost the earth?

    Thanks

I like the Turtle Wax 'Zip Wax' shampoo.

The best way to wash and wax a car is to do the two things separately with dedicated products.

I'm a great fan of the Zip Wax myself.

I once acquired around 15 liters of simoniz wash and wax, been using it for years.

It's treated me well as a shampoo. It's sudsy, it goes on and it gets rinsed off again. Seems legit.

I've never expected nor seen any "wax" properties to it as such, it's just something that i know is car orientated, so relatively safe to use for washing.

I doubt it's ph neutral and it probably is bad for whatever random wax/ polish i throw on but for a man who likes a clean car but isn't a flat out detailer, it's treated me well.

To add, if you want something that leaves a mediocre level of gloss and protection; after you rinse the car, spray it all over with demon shine, the water just rolls off the car leaving it virtually dry. I do prefer to dry the car with a chamois anyway but the next time the car gets wet you will notice the demon shine beading.
