    Are you sure it has an actual SSD ? The earlier versions of the Air had soldered in Flash memory modules rather than an actual SATA SSD drive that could be removed.

    More info on the various Airs models is available here, maybe you can determine whether or not your computer has a physical drive that can be removed.

    Hi,

    yes you might right actually with regards to flash memory, but I'm fairly sure it can be removed as I'v seen someone do this, so hopefully its not soldered. I will double check that this was done on the same model as mine
