    From HKUD

CNET and pogoplug are offering 30GB of cloud storage which they say is free for life. I didn't need to join CNET, just used the link. They offer one-click backup for every device.

Pogoplug employs 50 people and has offices in San Francisco and Tel Aviv. It's raised $30M in venture financing from Foundry Group, Softbank Capital and Morgan Stanley.

I don't trust an app that doesn't ask you to confirm email or password

Every device? 30GB? You're definitely gonna need to pay for more quite quickly.

If you're not paying for it, then you're the product.

Besides, based in the US and Israel means your data isn't 'private'.

    No thanks.

    How?

Google themselves gave 'early adopters' a 40Gb account (it was originally 10Gb- then you got an invite for the extra 30Gb).
70Gb when I opened a dropbox account (thanks to the person who posted about it here in this forum).
30Gb from HTC for buying a One X
another 30Gb from HTC for buying a One M8

Total 170Gb (I'm only using less than 60Gb- mostly RAW images- which I backup immediately as I take them)

Is the total spread between google and Dropbox? Do they HTC offers expire? I had 50gb with Dropbox from a HTC One V, but it expired after 2 years.

    FYI

    T&C's
"You acknowledge and agree that Pogoplug may access, use, preserve and/or disclose your account information and Content if legally required to do so or if we have a good faith........."

But free storage is free storage
