Pain in hip/ blister on foot

Hi guys, new to this forum and looking for some advice if possible!! I have a pair of Nike flex 2014 running shoes and have never had a problem with them before (iv ran approx 150k) in them up until now. During my last two runs (8k plus) iv developed a blister on the inside of my right foot, for my last run I put cotton wool and a plaster to try stop it from hurting but around the 5k it started to kick in!!

I find my knee and hip on my right side are beginning to hurt also!! I don't think it is my shoes as I haven't ran in them long enough for them to be worn in my opinion. Any insights would be great!!

Also may I say that I find this forum very enjoyable with plenty of knowledgeable runners, hoping to attend some meet ups at some stage!!

Thanks again for reading my post!!

Did you get properly fitted for your runners? If not go get it done as you may well be running in the wrong type of shoe for you. Regarding the hip pain, go see a physio to have it looked at, against forum rules to offer medical advice.

It could be as tang suggests you are running in the wrong shoes which nothing will solve except getting other shoes but it could also be that the shoes are not part of the issue and you've something going on in the hip that is throwing your gait off and causing the blister.

+1 to advice to go see a physio to sort out the hip, they might also be able to suggest if the issue is coming from the hip or coming from the footwear.

Oh and cannot beat compeed for blister protection/comfort

    best of luck!

Had loads of problems myself with blisters in the same place. It's horrible!

Read on here to lash on LOADS of vaseline to the area before you put on your socks. You can also boat some vaseline to the area on the outside of the soak too if it's still happening or you've a long run. That worked for me!
