    Hi there,
Am on other threads re. my teeth woes. Have had braces for nearly 3 year for deep bite issues to cut a long story short had severe trauma on a front tooth 20 years ago & its been crowned ever since. Turns out now that all the bone has gone & there's barely nothing left to hold it so next week getting braces off (my bite good now) & getting my front tooth extracted (or it may fall out!) on same day (sob!) Ortho is making me a retainer with a false tooth on it.
Anyway the peridontist had my head in a spin about bone grafts & implants & bridges what have you. have already spent 4.5k on braces & the rest so I cant afford now another 3-4k.
My question is what's my options - whatever happens I don't want a gap & after spending all this $$ on ortho I want a retainer & don't want the teeth to move.
I am thinking a denture isn't so bad at this stage at least for few years BUT my question is do I need a bone graft if am going to get a denture there? And if I get a bone graft now & decide to do an implant in 5 years time wouldn't it be possible the bone has degenerated again & I need another one? Honestly don't know what to do & dying to get braces off & what what this temp denture on the retainer gonna look like :(
    Thanks!
