Hi. I'll be flying on Aer Lingus with three kids, ages 11, 7 & 5. What kind of carry-on luggage can they bring? Is it just a backpack/schoolbag, or can they bring something larger? I'm really only only thinking about the two older boys. Thanks.

Same as an adult size carry on.

    Max weight 10kg (22lb)
    Max size 55cm H (21.5") x 40cm W (15.5") x 24cm D (9.5")
Plus one small personal item: Small handbag, laptop,
duty free or baby changing bag.
    Max size 25cm H (10”) x 33cm W (13”) x20cm D(8”)

Not sure if a child under 2 gets any allocation.

Under two is allowed a small nappy bag.

We got a little wheely rucksack for our daughter last year, enough room in it for enough stuff to keep her occupied for a 4 hour flight + airport time, snacks and a change of clothes/togs (we always pack spares in carry-on in case suitcases get lost!).
