Recommendations West of Nantes

    Going to a wedding in the Poire valley in August and then planning on heading back towards the coast. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to go, what to see etc.

    Would like to be close to a nice beach to relax for a few days but also if there's anything else people would recommend in the general area that'd be great. Thanks

    The area's full of charming little coastal towns like Piriac-sur-Mer, Le Croisic & the wonderful walled medieval town of Guerande - with La Baule being the locales large & long established beach resort.

    Distances are very short between the lot of them & getting out on bikes to Batz-sur-Mer & Le Croisic from La Baule is easily done.

    Stayed in Piriac-sur-Mer about 25 years ago for a few days as a teenager, great little authentic French town
