Bounce Rate completely irrelevant

    Hi folks,

    I'm looking for your opinion on "Bounce Rate" (Google Analytics)

    I have been doing a lot of testing on a number of my websites and have come to the conclusion that Bounce Rate is not relevant in terms of SERP's.

    However most Digital Marketing Agencies still use this metric.

    Would be interested to hear other peoples opinion on this?

    Amongst other things I have a site looking at parts of the media. I get good traffic on these keywords 'irish newspaper prices' which brings punters to a page with all the prices. The bounce rate on that page is massive - but it should be - they were looking for a specific, cound it and left! Ive no issues with that.
    So it depends on the intent of the searh.
