New VW Mod > 50W

    Morning all,

Mostly been using a 30W iStick, but got a new tank there yesterday (OBS T-VCT - finding it a bit leaky so far, but will give it another try) ...anyway, from reading online reviews, it seems to perform best @ approx 35W.

So looking to get a new mod basically.

Seen the warnings/concerns about the 50W iStick, so looking for alternatives...

Was thinking of the SMOKTECH XPRO M50 65W - anybody had any issues with that? or anybody got any other preferences?

    Cheers!

I wouldn't be worried about the iStick50, the few issues reported was from 1 early batch, have 2 of them myself and haven't had any problems.
Have a looks at the subox mini kits or iStick40 TC as well, both good vale

Hey JH_raheny, I'm interested in the 50w myself but like OP have heard some bad reviews, do you know of any B&M store that has them, I'd rather try it out first

    Just checking online there myself.
Ecirette on Talbot St seem to have them in stock, might pop in there myself on the way home. 59 euros there, 60 on bestshop for full kit...

Not a bad price at all, although is that ecirette price just for online purchases I wonder

Should be same price for both.
Got 2 of my 30W iSticks there, same price in shop as online...

Up until Id lost it my 50w iStick was great. Id heard about a few issues but they were apparently just the first batch (which you wont find on sale anywhere at this point).

Another mod Id highly recommend is the IPV Mini 2. Its a 70w mod that requires external batteries (unlike the iStick). Its v solid piece of kit if a little bigger than the iStick 50w.

I picked one of these up a few weeks ago and I have to say i'm very impressed. apart from the ohm reader telling me its 1.48 instead of 1.6 (reliable aspire 1.6 coils being used)
    and its discounted to €50

I nearly bought one of those a few times, its a lovely looking mod but the whole melting thing put me off.

Id heard they resolved it but someone I know their mod passed the test that Cloupor recommend doing when you use it first only to melt when charging 3 months later.

Cloupor have a lot of previous in that regard as well. Shame really.

If people are prepared to wait this looks like serious value for a TC Mod

Every aspire coil Ive used has given me incorrect readings on both istick 30w and 50w. I'd say its just the coils.
