Seriously what the duck is wrong with people, some woman decided to take 2 seats in the train that were not even close to each other by putting her bag on the other one with the reason: 'someome' will walk in soon and he should have that seat... he arrived like. 2 minutes later.

I don't think people should do that, you can do it when the person is like walking behind you, but that person walked from the complete other side of the train instead.

Morning issues , what issues did you have so far?

Repeated use of the word "like" in a post on the internet has, like, spoiled my breakfast.

Sounds like they're in love. Awwwww

She kept a seat for her partner or whatever that boarded two minutes later.

I don't see the issue. Like.

You don't? A person should take a seat otherwise every can say 'sorry I keep this seat for' and everyone needs to stand while the people that are 'known' to others can sit

Should be: first come first take, not first come and hold for others

I wouldn't have an issue with it, no. I'd just move on to the next available like any normal person.

Maybe you should call Joe Duffy or The Star? Can see the front page headline now:

'Iaranrod Eireann in people want to sit together shocker'

This is why we don't have trains where I live.

But if you didn't think it should be done, why didn't you just plonk down on the seat or make a point about it to her?

You could also grow a pair and just ask her to move the bag, or failing that move it for her.

Clearly haven't been in the train at this time around dublin... What available seat? If there is one you are lucky and you don't have to stand all way, if everyone it taking seats for others...

Because in Ireland you would probably get done for bag theft or some such crime and get 6 months in the slammer while the guy up before you in court with 146 previous convictions gets off with a warning.

    Well that escalated quickly!

    I don't do public transport - it's for peasants.

I'm on a commuter train in Dublin right now. There are 3 empty seats out of the 16 at this end and a few empty at the other end. Like that most mornings when schools are off.

I guess the route: maynooth - dublin is for the working people then.. busy all day, both from work and to work.

Sounds like someone didn't take their morning shower and a nice lady didn't want to be like stunk out of it during her morning commute, like perhaps.

Meh, people do that in pubs all the time. It where the term baggsie the seat come from (may not be true) Question I wanna know is why some people in the morning get unnaturally annoyed at little insignificant things. Did they skip breakfast or not have their coffee yet? why are people in the morning like that snickers ad?

Not the same one... most people start work at 8.
The one from 6.27 you may have a seat, the one from 7.04 you will almost never have a seat and I think everything after 7.20 you may have. (leixlip)

And ofc if you are not starting at maynooth.. ofc you have a seat!

It must be horrible being angry about small things. First world problems, eh??? Try counting your blessings before having an almighty whinge about the most trivial of things....

Most people don't start work because Jon Burton and the water protestors get everything.

I am normally in a a right grump in the mornings. Sugar and Caffeine normally sort me out within an hour or two...but to be fair, I try not to bite the head off anyone at that time.

No keeping seats during rush hour - you snooze, you lose. It's that simple.

The snooze button, the best and also worst invention ever..

I've already had cake and numerous hugs new earrings and I'm on my third cup of tea. I've been informed that I will later be receiving one of the best boston creme donuts known to man.

No morning issues for me \o/

Deep breaths OP. Sure couldn't it be worse!

    1. Place bag on floor
    2. Sit on seat
    3. Problem solved!

Seat? I'm a white male with two working legs, so I don't even bother looking for a seat on the LUAS any more. Any time of day or night, I'll only have to give it up within a couple of stops.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.
