Broken wing mirror

So I was driving up my driveway earlier and clipped my wing mirror off one of the gates, snapped off.
Long story short, I have the NCT on Friday. Where will I get a new one at a reasonable price? I'll need it fitted if it's anyway different .

    Vw golf
    Black

    Thanks in advance

Seach Partfinder.ie for sexy dismantlers in your area ;)

but yeah.. Partfinder should get you one swift enough (probably carry a heftier price than you might expect though). Then get a panel beater or mechanic to fit it? Not sure who fits this kinda stuff exactly, but I'd presume a panel beater would be quickest and cheapest? Could be way off though.

It's a fail but it would only require a visual re-test which may be a hassle but you can get done for free if there are no other failures requiring a test lane.
That might give you some breathing space. Any mechanic will fit it.

Yeah, bring it as is and see if it fails on something else as well.

Try ringing a few local garages and see if they have the part and can fit.
Or try local breakers and try fitting it yourself.

I would say to ring the local scrapyards in your area as I have my reservations of these kind of guys keeping partfinder up to date with their current inventory. I left my 01 avensis parked in a cul de sac overnight around a year ago and came back in the morning to see some dick had hit and smashed my drivers door mirror and no note under wiper. Cost €60 for a replacement electric mirror from a scrapyard as I recall but thats not to say it will be the same for the Golf though.

It did involve taking off the doorcard but it was pretty handy for me myself an amateur to replace to be honest. Can't see a golf being much more difficult.
