    Of these 3 cars

    1. 2008 Honda Accord 2 litre petrol automatic

    2. 2008 Volvo S60 2 litre petrol automatic

    3. 2008 Saab 93 2 litre petrol automatic

All Saloons. Which would be the best for reliability, mpg and power ?

Open to manual cars too but kinda prefer the automatics.

I'd go with the order you have them in. Google reliability index to get guide on reliability. And auto evolution.com to get stats on these. Sorry can't post links.

Think it'll be the 7th as hardly any petrols around in 8th generation.

Oh right. So the Honda has no turbo at all ?

Nope. Honda is a 2.0 ivtec. It should be the most reliable of them in theory.
The Volvo would be the most comfy
Saab would be smaller than the other two.

Honda Accord or Volvo S80, no point in getting the smaller S60 when the tax is the same on the bigger higher spec S80.

    Why ?

Because the luxury is unbeatable, very good and safe car

I haven't driven the Accord but I have driven the Volvo and the Saab, both very comfortable.
Find some local cars and go test drive and see what you think.

So the accord does not have a turbo. would this make it feel less powerful

I'd prefer less powerful and no blown turbo myself. 2 litre accord more than adequate

A 7th gen accord or cars that era are 7 plus years old, its not exactly a new car we are talking here.

Plenty. Recession impacts servicing which impacts turbos.

If you want to give 2 fingers to the cheappp tax you can get a nice 2.4 across the pond. Ex spec is daycent.

I don't get ya ? I'll get ridden on tax and VRT

then get a 2.0 petrol here, u might get a ex. I am not familiar with Irish accords, I would gather rather rare. If the tax is expensive then you might get them at a good price.
