48 contributions for Invalidity pension?

    Straight forward enough question but I am in the process of applying for invalidity pension with the social welfare due to being ill for quiet a long time.

    It specify`s as part of the criteria that you need to have 48 PRSi contributions in the previous year to application. As I was paid fortnightly at the time... would this mean every paycheck I received last year would have been counted as two contributions...one for each week?

    Yes. Payroll software calculates contribution weeks for prsi regardless of pay frequency.

    Same with monthly
