Just wondering how people would go about working on their short game over the winter? Would you spend time at the range hitting wedges to various distances etc? And how would you work on your putting????

Jesus Christ man, it's the first fine day in weeks and all you can think about is winter, now that's abit "oirish".

    Leave the modding us thanks.

  • I guess the obvious question would be does your club have short game facilities and are they usable in the winter?

I don't find huge benefits to just chipping at nothing in a practice range. So much of it is to do with distance control which you get no real sense of if you're not aiming at a flag, imo. I guess there are places like the GUI acadamy in Carton House but I don't know if they're open in winter and obviously you have to pay.
