So I just finished watching Justified and I have to say every actor in it was brilliant (OK with the possible exception of the Crowe sister in season 5 and her whiny voice).

Which show has your favourite cast?

Firefly. 9 main roles with 9 very different characters, and the rapport between the entire cast was very evident when watching the show. The natural friendship of the actors (which for most of them still appears to be very close even 10 years after the film Serenity) bled into their characters, and every actor suited their roles so perfectly.

I dunno. Rashida Jones and Paul Schneider bring it down for me. Jones had her moments, but not enough of them, and Schneider could have been good if given more time, but was rightfully replaced. Was never overly fond of Retta either.

But together, I thought they worked.

Same as with your suggestion, I loved the Firefly cast but to be honest.. could have done without Baccarin. But together, they did work so well!

Stargate: SG-1. The cast bonded very well (and apparently did off screen too). Really felt like a proper unit (in the first five seasons anyway, with the original crew).

Cast of Cheers. All friends. Shelley Long got the road for being too like her character. Kirstie Alley came along as the scripts started gelling into genius. The pity is she wasn't there for the Coach years. But perfection is never quite perfect. And those of you who know Woody Harrelson as a serious actor need to see the Woodman define slow but quick, quick, quick.
Close second - the mad bastards and fruitcakes that made up Twin Peaks. Especially the log lady and the damned fine cherry pie.

Deadwood- had a few cast members from the aforementioned Justified too.

The Wire, Such a huge cast, and not a bad performance among them, standouts being Omar,Bubbles, the Bunk, Lester, to name but a few. our own Aidan Gillen very much amongst them.(Though having said that, the Newspaper cast from Season 5 didn't grab me as much as the others.)

Mention to the West Wing as well, Josh, Toby and CJ there. Breaking Bad too, though not as large a cast. Three superb performances from Walter, Jesse and Hank.

The West Wing gets my vote. Brilliant cast that worked really well together and specifically I'd add Leo, Donna and Jed Bartlett to that list. Only one I felt was never really a part of it was Will Bailey.

Yeah, but unfortunately they also had Skylar and Hank Jr.

In fairness they were good actors, made the character really get under the skin of the viewer, just as you'd imagine they were getting under the skin of Walt.

So while the character may have been an annoying douche, the acting chops to make that so mean they were pretty well cast.

Definitely the West Wing hands down.

Going to go for shows that haven't been mentioned so far.

Community: The original Greendale Seven. It's been a different show since some characters left, and I think that proves just how good the original group was. Great supporting characters as well, who really add a lot to the show.

Party Down: Probably one of the best sitcom casts ever? IMO obviously. Two seasons of greatness.

Freaks and Geeks: The cast made the show (although the setting helped too), and it's great to see how far many of them have gone.

Seinfeld for me, The 4 protagonists are phenomenal and the supporting cast are fantastic... George's parents, Jerry's parents and uncle Leo , Newman, Mickey, Bania, J Peterman, Puddy, Jackie Chiles etc. The list goes on...

I came on just to post Freaks and Geeks. I mean, has there ever been a cast that went on to such heights of greatness? Similarly with Undeclared.
