With the champions cup coming hot on the trail of the world cup,I was wondering if there will be any promising young lads coming through in the A sides in the British and irish cup.I know this competition gives academy an the less established players a chance to impress. I notice ulster are plang Bristol .and the Bristol fly half is callum sheedy. ,isn't that the young lad who played Ireland u 19 7s

I'd be expecting a pasting for that Ulster to be honest. I'd be interested to hear how Rob Lyttle gets on though. I believe he is a decent prospect.

He'll be starting for Bristol against Ulster, Ulster have been particularly poor of late so he may have a good day out ahead of him.

This B&I Cup team would have won the 2nd Division in England, :)

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Many of the Championship teams use the B and I Cup to rotate their squads, rest players etc.

Interesting to see a Spanish International on the bench for Eagles.
He has 20 caps for Spain
Very inexperienced team for the eagles.... nearly all under the age of 23/24

Good to see Api back playing
What's the story with Dave McSharry? He is available but in neither squad?

My guess is 24th man for tonight, but it's surprising alright

I wouldn't exactly say he's involved with Connacht and imagine he could be just there as cover/looking for contract

Leinster A won 45-13 against Ealing and Munster beat Ospreys 28-8 last night while Ulster A beat Scarlets 27-19 and Eagles lost 40-10 to Jersey

Plays with Galwegians. Came on in 2nd half today. Connacht as you'd expect with so many out were bullied up front. Jersey maul did untold damage.

Impressive handling from the Munster pack. Sean McCarthy had a strong game.

Had to laugh at the S4C commentators lauding young Duncan Williams and discussing his potential.

Munster's last game v Ospreys was also on S4C. It's a pity one of the 3 stations here don't make an effort to cover the home games of the four Irish provinces, a decent highlights package would be a start.

IRFU have to show the interest to look to get a television station involved. RTE didnt want pro12 so cant see them wanting A games.
Even periscope or having full game up on provinces websites in day after game would be interesting but it wont happen

Bigger and better side won but the decision maklng at times was very poor. Fionn played well and Leader was good on comeback. Connacht didn't help themselves with passes behind back/too high or mistimed kicks etc just let them down
