I don't know if this is the right forum so mods please move as appropriate.

    I have a pretty silly question :o

I need to clean up a corner drain on the outside of my house.

    It's pretty blocked up.

The cage or cover (i have no idea what it's called) won't come off. I have tried. I think I may need to break it in order to remove it.

However I'm not too sure where I can get a new one, I'm assuming diy stores or would I have to go to a specialist store?

    Thanks

Go to your local hardware shop or builders providers with a picture of the one you need. They should have replacement covers.

You could try somewhere like Macs Salvage in Islandbridge Dubin 8.

You can also get one made in your local steel shop. Make sure to get a double seal cover to prevent any future smells escaping from the drain.
