I was wondering if anyone had any recommended reading as I start to look towards command. I've read 'so you want to be a captain' and am also focusing on all the internal company documentation as well as re-reading some of the legal docs (cap 413, doc 8168, 4444). any other suggestions?

I would suggest you ask your colleagues about what they were expected to know, each instructor / examiner can have his own pet subjects as well as the company required documentation.

Also watch your Captains, see how they behave with the people around them and how they handle situations, you should be able to learn some good techniques and some avoidable techniques from them.

My airline has this book in their resource library for crews. While most of the things in it are common sense, it is worth a read if you can get your hands on it to refresh the mind.
