M(any) safe places (camping with kids) around this region to camp for a night?

Portumna and Terryglass are popular with MH users for overnight stays. You always see a lot in both locations. I don't know about Clonmacnoise.

    Thanks Kol.
Where are the actual camping locations in each place?
If you had to pick one location, which one would it be?
    Are both equally safe?

Both locations are the car parks at the harbours. both are equally safe. You can walk directly into the forest park from Portumna harbour and it's a short walk to the town. Terryglass is a nice small place but there is a pub very close by. They do serve food as far as I remember.
