I've been offered a new job which doesn't commence until September. If I tell my local Intreo office would they cut my JSA? It's all I have to go on between now and then.

You dont have to sign off until closer to date and you can do it online if you wish. https://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/secure/CloseClaim.aspx

Also depending how long it takes you to get paid from this job you may be entitled to payments from the SW until you get paid from your new job.

And congratulations on the new job.

Really? That would be great! Local office is trying to force me on a ScamBridge at the moment so I'm up in arms as to what to do next!

Take the Scambridge, and when the job opens up, leave the Scambridge, and tell them that you got offered a "real" job. Heck, you can even tell them that it was thanks to the Scambridge if you want :pac: if it's in any way related.

If you don't take the Scambridge, does it affect your JSA?

I won't be taking the scambridge because I believe you should earn than 150 euro for 43 hours per week!

I'd be afraid they would cut JSA as it would look like I'm turning down work, but they didn't specifically say this. Time will tell!
