Mountain Biking Travel Insurance?

    Looking for a recommendation for travel / sports insurance for a week long trip to the south of spain to go mountain biking in the sierra nevadas

    Looking at the various policies out there they exclude 'down hill mountain biking' and others exclude 'extreme ground conditions' . So whilst I am not doing DHing or anything extreme , I am going cycling in a guided group in the mountains on trails with about 50% going up and 50% going down all on trails.

    Want there to be no ambiguity in wording. Any recommendations for policies / companies?

    VHI cover mountain biking. Like you, I was worried about it being excluded, but there was no mention of it policy document and they confirmed over the phone to me that it was all covered, even lift-assisted riding.

    I also discovered that they pay out €50 if you score a hole-in-one whilst on holiday.

    I went to US last year and got covered for mountain biking. Added it to my Multi-Trip.com travel insurance. I think it came to €73 for the year.

    Don't recall any specific commentary on Downhill MTBing but can't be sure.
