Subox Mini - Battery Indicator Weirdness

So I have a Pair of Sony VTC 5's and same issue with both of them.

I charge them up fully on my Nitecore i2 Charger (which has worked flawlessly for my mech). However when I put them into the subox, they only read as 1/2 or 1/4 charged.

I'll also add that I can vape for quite a while even with the battery level at one bar.

If I plug in the USB charger to the Subox after the Nitecore, low and behold it will charge for over an hour and only then do they read as properly full.

Any ideas whats happening here ?

Does the Nitecore charge to a lower voltage threshold perhaps than the Subox battery indicator is happy with ?
    OR
Could the batteries on their last legs ?

I'll also add that I can vape for a long time with the battery level at just one bar before it dies.

Just a note on the 'VTC5' batteries, I think the general information is that any bought for the last year at least are fakes, no matter what the vendor says. Sony apparently do not make a VTC5 and haven't for a long time.
They brought it out and stopped production after ecig users started buying them.
Could all be b@llocks but thats what I read.
I think the same goes for VTC4's, even a couple I bought only a month ago at a reputable store failed to scan the QC code. i.e. probably fakes.

That said I have 4 VTC4's and they all work just fine, but the Samsung 25R's work just as well and thay are at least legit.

no problems with mine using efest and panasonic batteries, only thing I have noticed when swapping battery is that it doesn't turn off when removing battery if you have the new one in quick enough

100% sure they are legit VTC5's

I think I nailed down the problem to the left hand port on the Nitecore not charging to full capacity - tried the right side and it went into the subtank @ 100%, so hopefully the Nitecore is still under warranty.

Would have never noticed with the Mech.

Well I'm happy you nailed the issue.

Now, how are you sure they are legit VTC5 (and where did you get them where where?!!!!!)

    Philippines ;)

Living there so they were easy enough to get them, although the Samsung's are far popular at this stage than the VTC's now, with better performance and will probably be my next batteries.
