New TV's are a minefield - search for reviews of teh models before you buy, some serious anorak sites out there.

4K sounds great but very little available in 4k format yet, some reviews sugget that 4k is not worth it on small TV's and I think 55" being the point where it becomes viable so propably only worth it on even bigger TV's. Some TV's that say 4k are only able to run 4k still pics and don't have the power to handle 4k video frame rates.

On Samsung from what I know the most important number is that 6400, keep an eye on that and go as high as possible for a given screen size as that reflects the software and processing power of the TV.

So do not buy anything without reading reviews of it - thats my 2c

It is this years model, you're thinking about the H6400.
