Disability Allowance Wait

    My JB ends this wednesday. I applied for disability allowance 2 months ago and still havent heard, all ive been told to do is to go to the CWO thursday morning when my JB is finished and see if she can give me money while i wait for my disability which ive been told could take 6 months to come through. I cant go on JA while i wait as they've asked me for a medical cert saying im fit to work for the means test and i cant do this as ive given a cert to say im ill and cant work. Badly stuck for money and feeling panicked. Can anyone give me advice on whats going to happen?

    It can literally take 12 months + to get disability as well as having a shed load of medical documentation
    The first application can and usually get refused then you have to go through the appeals process it's a stressful and at time depression inducing process.
    Depending on your condition and so on .
    The cwo should be able to help with supplementary welfare allowence till your claim is processed.
