    Hi,

Just wondering has anyone worked as a Trustee in the Kilkenny department?

What is the culture, overtime hours/pay, skills and management like?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

What's your background in? Trading, compliance, risk. Trustee is the safe keeper, so ensures other areas involved are working within the rules. So the investment manger is diversifying risk according to rules etc, fund accounting are valuing product accurately. There is a lot of varying tasks with various deadlines. Some would be daily winkle othe over weeks, so manage your own time is important. What's your background ?

I don't think Trustee would have many, if any, daily deadlines. But there may be some overtime around month end. I never worked in Trustee but worked in SS for a number of years. My view of it would be one of the least stressfull depts in Kilkenny.

Don't know who is working there now but the people working there when I was there were fairly sound. Pay would depend on your level and performance.

the guy in the interview did mention that the volume of work is nothing compared to fund dept. Is there room for advancement do you know?

and just finally, do you recommend I brush up on my Excel skills? or will all that be provided in the training. I was also surprised to read that SS pay overtime (not sure how much), most of the big firms offer a set wage as they know workers do much more then 37.5 hours.

Anyone know what pension contributions State Street make on behalf of their employees or any info on the pension options?
