    Hi All

I'm currently thinking of applying for a position with Davy Stockbrokers but just wondering if anyone knows do they provide a maternity leave benefit? And if so, how long do you need to be there to avail of it?

Not something I'm going to be concerned about any time soon but I don't want to discover in 3 or 4 years time that I'll only have my state entitlements!

I appreciate any information people may have!

    Thanks in advance

I'd imagine a company like Davy would pay you for the 26 weeks. It'd be in either the contract or Employee Handbook as a benefit so you'd know well in advance of 3 or 4 years time.

I'd say service of 6months or 1 year would be required to qualify for paid maternity leave. But maybe not. Again it'd be in a contract or handbook.

I'd also imagine they pay you for the 6 months, I've worked for a few companies in financial services in Dublin and they've all offered paid maternity leave. Some would have the clause where you need to be there 6/12 months first, and some would say you have to return after maternity leave for a specific time ('maybe 3/6 months) or else you'd have to repay it.
