Wow must be desperate if it's Primark. Armed robbery like what 50 euro ? And getting away with 10s of euros worth of clothing.

yup, it would be like robbing Dunnes Stores first thing on a Monday morning... they didn't think this through very well.

Indo saying it's not terror related - translates to "it's not a muslim'

If I was being held at gunpoint, I'd feel a degree of terror!

And they would have to divide the loot by 3 (I think they said there're three gunmen).

Seriously, who the hell in dumb enough to hold for a store first thing Monday morning?

I hate seeing things like this. My little sister is working in Paris this summer and it worries me that something like this will happen to her.

I hope no one gets hurt.

I would wager the cost of the set-up of this robbery far outweighs what they could ever have gotten.

just because they sell at low prices, doesn't mean they don't sell a lot of stock!

I would imagine Penny's are bursting with cash after a good day/weekend.

Hostages evacuated by Special Forces according to rolling headline bar on Sky News.

    Good work!

What next holding up the 99cent shop? Talk about a race to the bottom.

they could've had some kind of tip off saying that particular shop never deposited their weekend takings or something weird, you never know.

Why does every act of criminality have to be determined to be "terror-related" or not?

Considering what happened in france earlier in the year, it's easy to think this is terror related.

Like it or not, it is the top suspicion in peoples' minds at the moment when something like this happens.

It was his money, he just didn't want to fill out the forms.

The odds of a non-national getting caught up in something like this would be quite slim I'd say.

On the downside though, the odds of a young female non-national in Paris ending up in a Pierre Woodman film would be quite high.

    Swings and roundabouts :P

Everyone is laughing at the money they think is in the tills - I used to work in Penneys and the average customer spends between 30 - 50 in one go and up to 100 at the weekends. The manager was easily taking a grand out of just my till (of ten) every two hours.

I'd say it's safe to assume the Paris one would be far busier. There was some amount of money to be had after the weekend I'm sure.

Glad noone seems to have been hurt, very scary!
