A large percentage of the pallets used today are basically disposable crap, designed to be used once. Anyone selling palletised goods is likely to have a supply they will be glad to get rid of. Somewhere selling fertiliser to farmers would be a good place to try, or maybe a large hardware supplier.

Just drive through your local industrial estate, you're sure to find piles of them outside some of the buildings.

be very careful using pallets especially if they have gaps between the timbers dogs legs can easily slip through and I have seen a friends dog break a leg this way

contact any factory or shipping company, they'll only be delighted to offload some pallets on you.

I've gotten van loads of pallets off companies, the pallets aren't quite as useful as others have made out online. Many of them are damaged to the point you'll only get a few good planks per pallet. So you would need to go through a good few to get some useable timber. Then you'll be left with a pile of timber waste to get rid of. It's not great timber to begin with either so you might want to consider what you'll be using the pallet timber for and whether it will be up to the task.

Try going to builders providers and see if they have any of the extra long pallets that you transport slab on, they have less material but longer length and are handier to make things out of, rather than small lengths.
Get a good nail bar as the ringshank nails used to make pallets are hard to remove.
