I am not sure if this goes into this Forum so excuse me if I am wrong!

I am sitting my leaving next yr and I would like a career in psychology. Being a psychologist would be my dream job however I feel it takes so much years in college I might not get all the qualifications needed.

I understand that a PhD is required to be a psychologist and feel i mightn't do a PhD, if I complete a Masters am I qualified to work as a counselor or a therapist?

And am I wrong in thinking it goes from BA to Masters to PhD to become a psychologist?
I've heard you may complete a BA ( or something of the equivalent like a Hdip course) and then move onto a PhD, is this true?

Thank you for all your help in advance
