Does anyone know where Dublin City Clampers HQ is ?

They don't give out the address on their website.

They took my old car awhile back but the fine was so high I let them keep the car.

I would be interested to know what they did with my car.

The car is so old it will cost the Clampers money to get rid of it, so the joke is on them:D

Gah that won't save the link but search for Dublin Street Parking and it will bring up the company details

    You'll get their registered office.

Depends where the car was lifted what pound it goes. Most likely your car is already crushed or you've a huge storage bill if it isn't.

Haven't heard anything back from them. But I would go to jail before I would give those robbers a penny.

Can't see why you're so wasting your own time with this. You left the car with them rather than paying for illegally parking, why do you care what they've done with it at this point?
If the car is worthless then you can take it they crushed it rather than having it taking up room.

From doing a google search it looks like they have an industrial unit at 320 Harolds Cross Rd.. Don't think it's for public.

When mine was towed, it was just moved to a car park in phibsboro or somewhere and clamped.
I just paid the fine and they told me where to find the car!

    illegally parking,

I was parked outside my grandmothers house.

I really cant see what harm I was doing ?

Before the clampling scam came in back in the 90s this would not have even been a problem.

Before the clamping came in, it was impossible to park on the streets of Dublin city.

You haven't given much detail, but I assumed you weren't legally parked if they towed you away?

You seem offended that I came to that conclusion...

I passed that place a million times before and never noticed that the clampers had a pound there. If it was a legit business the place would not be so secret.

The anti water meter protesters should protest outside this place to put the clampsters out of business.

All they would have to do is block the entrance and clampsters would lose a fortune in revenue.

It's Harold's Cross but it's Park Rite in East Point who have the contract for it all.
There are more and more companies looking for clamping around their premises and public roads.
I think that maybe there is a need for them, but not as expensive as it is.

Why did it take them 20 years to clamp you outside your grandmother's house?
What did you do that was different?

So you are butthurt that they took your banger, therefore they are not a legitimate business?

DCPS provide a necessary service, before clamping and towing the amount of bad parking in the city was much worse, particularly ignorant cretins blocking clearways, bus stops, loading bays, etc.

It's the principle of it. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if I dipped into your wallet and took a few quid.

It not a legitimate business its a "legal" extortion racket which demands money by menace.

Clamping someone because their parking ticket is out by 10 minutes is NOT necessary its just money making racket.

Also if you have a legitimate ticket and it falls off the dashboard you are not entitled get a refund after you paid to have the clamp released. If thats not a scam then I don't know what is ?

Nothing there are cars parked outside my grandmothers house 24/7.

The clampers only go there once in a blue moon because its out of the way.

The road outside her house is owned by the corpo so they are able to clamp people even though its a residential area.

Dont know about DCC, but DLRCC give you 15 mins grace. Maybe if people didnt take the piss and treat the grace period as free parking DCC might do something similar.

On the 2nd one. The rule is that the ticket must be displayed. Whats to stop someone getting a legitimate ticket from another car after the period and claiming it for themselves?

Why dont you ask her to get residents permits? DCC ones are €1.25 for 24 hours parking.

They attempted to use freeman pseudo-law and a securitisation argument to get out of repaying a significant amount of money. IIRC they have another case which argued that the transfer of debt between a company and its parent was akin to creation of money.

They're not admiralty law / judge's oath / blue ink level freemen, but this is only after honing their argument after being shot down trying to use that in lower Courts.

The idea that laws don't apply to you if you don't consent is nonsense of the highest order; and the "free human being" level of freeman insanity is the worst of them all.
