What's worse is the amount of them that are simply awful.....really gut wrenchingly bad....able to turn Silken Purses straight into Sow's Ears in a blink !!

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

I agree, I see more and more girls wearing more and more makeup lately. To the extent that it's the makeup you see moreso than the girl, sometimes. A new standard is being established in terms of quantity.

Just because you can wear 15 products on your face, it doesn't mean that you have to!

I used to go over to a council plant nursery and help myself to some stock. I used to sell them around the doors for 2 pound for the rose bushes, and a pound for everything else. The roses and 'miniature'* conifers/christmas trees were very popular. This continued until the council put a bigger fence around the nursery.

*they weren't really miniature, as a few of my customers found out after a few years!:pac:

Or if you wear a tiny amount subtly like
Some of it really can be nearly art

Oh it's not like I don't wear makeup, I do! Its just more common lately to see girls who look like the makeup is wearing them. It's not meant to be the first thing you notice!

Subtle is better imo, but I suppose it's all down to preference.

Kids today are just plain lazy! and why wouldn't they be with parents that give them more weekly poket money than we would see in a year.

we had to work for money if we wanted anything at all that wasn't needed for school or to keep us dry and alive.

Some kids today are just plain lazy, just as some kids were just as plain lazy when we were growing up too. There were always the minority that wouldn't chip in at home, wouldn't lift a finger to help anyone if there wasn't something in it for them, and sure as hell there were kids who would make all sorts of demands for money and had parents that would give it to them just to shut them up for five minutes. Sure wasn't the phenomenon aptly demonstrated by Tom Sawyer -

Many parents today still instill responsibility in their children by encouraging them to chip in at home, helping out in the community, or finding ways to earn an income for themselves if they want things like phones, phone credit, etc.

There was no chipping in at home when i was a kid,you were fed and watered and after that if you wanted anything you worked for it

It's 1 of those made up Celtic Tiger jobs like interior designer and wedding planner. Spoofers taking advantage of idiots.

Not to mention handing up a good chunk of wages when you got a job. I can remember giving £80 when I was earning £240 gross so was handing up more than a third every week. Still had to do my share of housework, cleaning and washing clothes etc

In my day we paid people to be allowed wash their cars

    Pfft kids these days.

We used to around the neighbours to lick clean the encrusted muck on the wheel arches off their car. And in payment we'd get a kick in the hole and slap around the ear. And you consider yourself lucky to get the slap round the ear.

Girls watching some YouTube tutorials and all of a sudden they're MUAs.
a 3 day course where they show you how to wash and use brushes doesn't make someone a makeup artist.
There's 2 "MUAs" I follow on Facebook, just for the lols. One of them tries really really hard, but it's just not for her. She also spelt the name of her company wrong on her business cards. She is just clumsy and heavy handed, no flair for it, no natural talent. Plus when she wears any sort of lipstick it ends up bet into her teeth, like she's been chawing on a box of crayons.

The other one obviously only did a one day course. Her eyebrows have an awful shape and she uses what looks like a black eyeliner to follow the shape on her brows so it just looks 10 times worse. Also has a preference for blue eyeshadow. I wouldn't mind but blue eyeshadow? People have been writing essays on why you shouldn't wear blue eyeshadow

There is decent money to be made though, when you're doing it properly. Brides makeup between 80-100 euro, more if you have to travel, then bridesmaids and mother of the bride too

These bloggers post pix on facebook of their ' sculpting' creations made with heavy layers of makeup young girls look like clowns. And then everyone comments how fab they look. Comment on the excess of make up used or the evident stripes of contour colour causing face to resemble a mud pool and you are attacked. Sad really how young girls are being persuaded this troweling of makeup is the norm.

Obviously they have seen the success that Cathriona White has had in being the love interest of one Jim Carrey. They see that they can make a life for themselves far beyond what their original potential possibly had in store for them. Finally, they are looking to break that glass ceiling and show that you are not fated to a pre-determined life. They know where they want to go.

They want to go somewhere paradisiacal. Some place warm, a place where the beer flows like wine, where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.

I’m talking about a little place called...

    Aspen.
