playing video from USB on Saorview STB?

    I have a Technika T8030 STB (oem Vestel?). It has a USB port and I can browse it for media. I can see folders on my USB stick but not any video files. I have tried lots of different formats but it is just guess work.

    There are lots of STB out there with different brand names and a model number like T80X0, all made by the same company. What video, audio and container format is required for the STB to see and play video files?

    Can it see audio or pictures files?

    While in theory, a simple option, not seen any stb offer an option to play video.

    tvstar stb, cost €39 from tesco, plays videos from usb.

    all stbs that work with saorview have the decoders required.
