    Hi

We are in the process of trying to buy our first property. We have gone sale agreed on a property and are currently arranging the survey and valuation reports for the bank.

Can anyone recommend a valuer from the aib approved list in the Louth or Meath areas? personal.aib.ie/our-products/mortgages/residential-mortgage-panel

We were at this stage a number of months ago on another property and due to the valuation coming back lower than the asking we had to pull out .

We are very nervous about ending up in the same situation for a second time even though we feel the property is worth what we are paying.

    Many thanks for any advice.

Melie122 I would be running this by your mortgage advisor in branch they would be familiar with which valuer is efficient & reputable. Note you no longer need a valuation report to get letter of offer issued (unless it is a new build or in need of renovations) this is due to new Central Bank guidelines whereby valuation report has to be less than 2 months old @ drawdown stage. You will now be submitting your valuation once you have a closing date identified.
