    Current set up below.

    -Intel Core i5-2500K processor
-AS Rock P67 Pro 3 motherboard.
    -Corsair A70 cooler
    -6GB Kit Mushkin Essentials Ram
-Super Flower, SF700A14A, 700W power supply
-MSI R6950-2PM2D2GD5,2GB, Radeon HD graphics card, PCI Express.
    -Samsung F3, 1000GB Sata 11 hard drive.
    -Running windows Home Premium 7

Existing set up is running fine but Witcher 3 has tested it and its struggling.
If I was to upgrade my graphis card what type would I be looking at???

Something like a 280x would be a good upgrade.
Bear in mind witcher 3 is badly enough optimised that even top end systems can struggle at ultra.
    Is your processor oc?

TW3 is very well optimised. Budget OP?

Budget: I suppose no more than €300 for a start.

    R9 290 is best mid-range card or the 970

    I'd say 290

Realistically would I see much of an improvement in what I have bearing in mind that current card is preforming ok with the exception on Witcher 3??
Might just try to OC and tweek a bit more out of the system..

overclocking won't make any difference, TW3 is heavily GPU bound and the 6950 is a old card now, on-par with current €100 euro cards. An R9 290 or GTX970 would be a massive improvement.

Will keep the R9290 in mind along with maybe 2GB of RAm increase.
Is there any difference in size between the old and new card??

6GB is OK for now. Size depends on the model, really, the 6950 was generally quite a big card so probably won't be much difference. Most sites will give dimensions of the card.

Thanks guys for the advice. Will probably hold out for the moment. Can't justify swapping out a card that's actually performing well apart from Witcher 3. (Which it still runs ok). Probably just wanted to see what to benchmark my current card against.
