Teaching Pro's Ranking

    Lads & Ladies is there a ranking system for ranking all the teaching Pro's in Ireland?

    I was in the spawell driving range yesterday evening when I notice a poster for lessons with Gillian Burrell Ranked in the top 100 Pro's for the UK & Ireland.

    Then taught to myself never knew there was a ranking system, although good idea. So went home and googled it but couldn't find anything!

    Don't think there's any ranking system for teaching pros as it’s far too subjective and personal based on the understanding the pro and student has with one another. One pro could work wonders with one player but fail miserably with another based on the teaching approach used and how the student interacts and understands this.

    There are different levels of PGA professionals however with rankings as follows in terms of accomplishment and accreditation so perhaps this is what you were referring to?
    PGA Professional
    PGA Advanced Professional
    PGA Fellow Professional
    PGA Advanced Fellow Professional
    PGA Master Professional

    I know that magazines sometimes have a ranking system for their pros - 'this weeks lesson from Golf Digest Top 100 Professional John Doe' etc - so maybe this is where it came from?
