Your link points towards the May 2015 numbers.

The June 2015 ABC UK in Ireland numbers are here. The UK numbers are here from Press Gazette.
    • 42,618 less UK newspapers sold in Ireland per day than a year ago.
    • Daily Mail up but only thanks to huge bulks.
    • Sunday Times sales still falling rapidly, sales down to 78,187.
    • Daily Star Sunday, People, Mirror sales all dropped significantly.

Subscribes to my theory that Desmond is bleeding every last drop of blood out of the Irish Daily Star. He is trying to match revenue declines with cost cuts to compensate. The strategy might work until you can cut no further and pulling the plug is the only option left.

Desmond was interviewed in the IT lately on a trip to Dublin. He said that the was happy that the Irish Daily Star was now being run "commercially" (translation: they are doing the cuts I want). He said he previously had to make 1 trip a month to Ireland to ensure everything was running okay. He no longer needs to. (translation: he is happy with INM having day-to-day operational control).

He also said he would be willing to buy the 50% not owned under the right circumstances. Strange. Latest reports indicate that Trinity Mirror will buy out Desmond's newspapers by December. This, as was previously indicated, might effect the 50/50 relationship.
