ESTA advice

    hi there,

I was going to surprise my wife and son with a trip to New York in August (depends on whether I receive a long overdue cheque though!!!!). Anyway, I'm wondering do I need to fill out 3 separate ESTA forms beforehand or is there one for a family? I've never had to deal with this as all my previous trips to the US over the past 10 years were organised through work.

As I wanted to keep it a a surprise, I see I have to fill in email and phone details for each person! So I assume they'll then get confirmation mails?

Also, there's a section called "US Point of Contact Information", but I haven't even booked any hotel yet, so I'm not sure what to put in here. They say on the form I can put in UNKNOWN, but then it's giving me an error to fill in the phone number of my US address!

You don't get an email, just a page to print out and a code! No danger of spoiling the surprise - you just need passport numbers :).

Also just enter in UNKNOWN, you can change it closer to the time ;).

Also you don't need to print proof of esta for customs as once it's approved, it'll be on file. They won't ask you for it.
