Hot Water Bottles - yay or nay

The Boss was goin to bed with a hot water bottle and I could'nt be having that, so I threw it away, it's too warm (is threw a word), Could you stick a Jar at the minute ?

My OH is a fan of them but only in the winter months. It's far too warm for them this time of the year.

Just to say, I will never, ever, get out of bed as quick as I did the night the hot water bottle burst :eek:.
That was over forty years ago, seared into my brain it is, thankfully not my arse though!

A hot water bottle... I have to sleep with my feet outside the duvet, I'd wake up in a pool of sweat if there was a hot water bottle in the bed.

My wife's grandmother died because a hot water bottle burst and scalded her. She never recovered

I never liked the things.

There are times in a girls life when a hot water bottle makes the difference between agony and normality. It's a great pain reliever for the ole cramps.

I have been alternating between throwing the duvet off and bringing the duvet back. Doing a swap every little while.

How can anyone sleep with a hot water bottle in this hot summer's weather?
