    Hi All,
I have been offered a new job and I need to give notice asap to my current employers - I don't have my new contract yet but I do have a written offer letter. Is this sufficient as my new employers won't have my contract for a few days at least.

    Thanks In Advance! :)

I'd be cautious on that one and wait for the contract tbh

Never hand your notice in before you have the contract, have signed it and delivered it back to the new employers.

I'd never resign until I had a copy of the contract signed by both myself and my new employer. "There's many a slip twixt the cup and the lip" as the old saying goes.

What the others said. If they want you to start sooner, then they can get the contract sorted sooner.
