Wheel Alignment

The NCT shows -2 on the front and -7 on the rear for alignment.

This is after paying these lads http://www.tyresdublin.ie/ €35 to do 4 wheel alignment a few weeks back.

I think they just did the front and didn't bother with the back.

It had been pulling to the left heavily but is okay now. Should I be concerned about the -7 at the rear? Doing alot of mileage so if th -7 would impact mpg much I will go back in to them.

Is it difficult to change rear alignment on 04 avensis? Just trying to figure out why they wouldn't have bothered doing it. The previous nct has the same -7 for the rear axle so seems accurate.

edit: was pulling to the left not the right before alignment. corrected!

35 is quite cheap. You sure you paid for and got a 4 wheel alignment?

Yeah. Asked for the full 4 wheel 3d alignment and paid the advertised price for same.

He had the alignment things fitted to the rear wheels but only made changes to the front.

Any input on any of my questions would be appreciated! Cheers

If rear wheels are out of alignment how would they adjust?

By adjusting rear camber and toe I think.

On many cars it's not possible to adjust rear alignment.

Everything I have read leads me to believe it is on the mk2 Avensis.

Should I be concerned about the -7 at the rear? Is that out by alot?

I think the NCT allows for +18 to -18 (not sure tbh) so no, it's probably not a concern really.
    You passed yeah?

I did thanks! yes +18 to -18 are the tolerances for nct.
Doing 10k miles in the next six months so just want to be sure the -7 isn't costing me a fortune in lost mpg!

Nah, it'll be grand. But you could check with some other garage if rears can be aligned on your car and if they can fix the -7.
Keep tyres at correct pressure and remove junk from the boot and you'll get better mpg.

Drive like you had a cup of hot tea on the dash.
