They gave me a sky hub, which has 100mbit wired ports and 54mbit wireless when I registered with them for dsl (not the efibre product) last September.

Not the best modem/router. The range on the wireless is pretty good considering it doesn't have an external antenna. It's about as good as one of the quality routers I bought myself.

We switched from eircom broadband and phone to sky broadband and phone .
The switch over from one provider to another was easy .( we had no phone or broadband for about 2 hours ) that was it .
I find sky very good , the Internet does not drop or crash that was always happening with Eurocommunist .
Sky have a great customer service , it is nearly impossible to talk to a human when you ring roe on .
Overall happy with sky Internet , unlimited and 40 euro per month for phone and internet.
Can't help with download speeds but faster and more realible than eircom .
We have modem in the hall and it can reach all rooms .

Does anyone know if there is a three strike policy with Sky with regard to downloading torrents like Eircom or are they like UPC? Cheers.

Just like to ask another question about sky efibre. First up is it correct to say that all sky Irish broadband packages include unlimited broadband? Next the basic sky broadband is eur40. The efibre product is EUR50. A relation of mine uses eircom. He was updated to efibre free of charge with eircom with no increase in package charge. So why are sky charging an extra eur10?

The wireless range is fine and I have not had any issues connection wise, been a customer six months or so and there are times when I'm watching something on netflix, the wife is on another laptop doing the same and the smallie is youtubing the hell out of it and no problem so happy out

They charge the most they can get away with, I'd imagine.

    They have limited bundles.

Eircom charge more for regular ADSL.
