Air compressor sealant!

    My compressor needs a new outlet/regulator.
    Is there a special type of seal when fitting it.
    I already split one by using plumbers tape.
    I know there is thread seal but is there a special type for high pressure of the compressor.

    ptfe tape is fine just make sure you are not using taper thread into a parallel thread this will give you the end result of splitting

    Ok,thanks Jim, I'll have a lookout for that so.

    It's a draper compressor that came with a free set.
    Strangely the outlets are the shorter type connectors, whereas all the things in the set have the longer/narrower type connectors.
    Why they all haven't the same is beyond me.
