Accepted job offer, but contract not yet signed. Can I still change my mind?

I accepted a job offer recently and have the contracts ready to sign (job doesn't start for a few days yet), yet today I received notice that another company wants to offer me a position based on an interview I had with them before.

I know it's bad form, but can I still opt to go for the other position as the contracts haven't yet been signed, or am I now committed to the first one?

Just looking at my options for now.

Yup, I accepted a job last week and changed my mind on Monday. As long as you haven't signed your under no obligation. In my opinion (it may be harsh) but even after you signed you don't owe them anything until you actually begin employment.

It's fine, OP, just tell them ASAP and be professional about it.
