I've a printer coming in the post tomorrow for Amazon, surely the Postpersons on bicycles won't deliver this directly? Should I expect to have to go pick it up?

They'll send a van with it. Do not get in the van.

Yes she's an aborigine, goes around topless all the time like the women you'd see in national geographic

So do I wait by the window all day? Intercom isn't working but I guess they have my number?

They won't call you if you don't answer the door. They will leave delivery note which you can use to collect it from specified post office, usually the nearest one to you. So yeah, wait by the window.

Postman delivered a five gallon jar of detergent to me this morning, lifted it over the gate and everything. I was very impressed, he's a Dub and everything.

You're not making it easy for them, are you? They won't ring your phone.

Do you not know the protocol?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

If your number is on your amazon account the postie should ring it when attempting delivery as s/he can't mark it as attempted delivery until they have phoned you using their electronic scanner thingy. Have you had parcels delivered before? they usually get delivered at the same time as it will be on a particular van route.

Might be an idea to keep your phone handy as the postie might only let it ring once. I'd also sit by the window.

You could do up a sign on your computer - 'Intercom Not Working, Pls ph_____' for to put up on the front door.

    And Print it off.

With Amazon deliveries that they have to scan to prove delivery they can't return it to the depot without allowing the scanner to ring the number on your amazon account, but you must have a number on your amazon account.

    Don't mind this messer.

    Do get in the van.
You've got to play one game of charades with the postman before you get your printer.

He'll beg you for a second game but you are entitled to your printer and that's that
