Car noise

Car (07 Corsa) has suddenly become very noisy (motorbike-like) particularly when accelerating / moving off on traffic light change. Have also had a bit of noise coming from underneath car when turning/cornerning. Could they be connected / what might the reason be?

Could possibly be a hole somewhere along the exhaust? If so it will be messing up lambda reading for the Nct.

Yes sounds like hole in the exhaust.

Best way to verify is to sit in the car with the door open and engine running. Lean out and look under the car so that your head is nearly touching the ground and rev the car in neutral.

From this position it'll be a lot more noticeable and you should be able to tell the approximate location of the hole.

If you can't get the proper repair done in time a bit of Gun Gum should get you through the test.

Thanks for the advice/suggestions. Exhaust fell off this evening so now need good quality / good value exhaust replacement expert in Drogheda! Any suggestions?

Long shot that he'll see it but just in case ... Thanks to the guy who helped me to get the exhaust off last night!
