You just need an ESTA (assuming you're from Ireland or some other countries listed on the below site).

Apply now. It usually is instant but can take up to 72 hours.

Sorry guys to keep bringing this up but once the online form is completed that is all I need to do? I don't need to have anything printed? Just show up..

I take a screenshot of the ESTA approval just for peace of mind, but you don't need a hard copy - the CBP officer will know you have it.

And approved? You don't need to print anything, your Irish passport number will be on their system with the ESTA approval flagged against it.

Different scenario , my friend holds an Irish passport, and it's one of the few that will have not got the biometric included in it. They are staying in Canada at present and normally they drive into the USA and pay for a 1 or 2 day visa at the border. Will this new biometric requirement affect entering the USA by land?

Is the 1_94w form still required?
