    A simple question - how do you say "Happy Birthday" to a female (if that's relevant).

    As usual, Google is providing a few possibilities and I'm unsure which is right:

    Breithlá sona duit
    Breithlá shona duit
    Breithlá sona
    Breithlá shona

    It's written "sona", not shona.

    It's often pronounced with the séimhiú though, a bit like " Dia duit".
